Thank you for visiting us on our website – we hope that what you read here may stimulate you to come and visit us in person at Cuddesdon so that we can welcome you personally!
Ripon College Cuddesdon is a community of men and women worshipping, learning and living together. At any one time we have around 170 students in training for ministry in the Church of England and other churches of the Anglican Communion, together with occasional independent students and scholars who enrich our common life and experience.
About half of our students are residential, living in the Cuddesdon community either as single students or weekly borders, or here with their families, for one, two or three years. The other half of the student body train non-residentially. Depending on their location they enrol on either the Oxford Ministry Course, the West of England Ministerial Training Course or the Cuddesdon Portsmouth Pathway. Some, who have additional time available for more intensive study, undertake flexible ‘dual-track’ training. Through our partnership with the Church Mission Society we also offer training for ordained pioneer ministers preparing to work in Fresh Expressions of Church and other ground-breaking areas of mission.
We delight in the wide theological and liturgical background and experience of our students. Ordinands come to Cuddesdon from a broad range of Anglican traditions, a breadth we believe enriches all members of the community. We rejoice in the unique opportunity and responsibility we have to foster an open and enquiring attitude as we pray, learn and live in community.
Whether you are exploring ordination training, pioneer ministry or further learning to enhance your ministry, we do hope that what you find here will stimulate your own spiritual journey and encourage you to come to Cuddesdon and experience what it has to offer for yourself. We look forward to meeting you!
