Mission
Ripon College Cuddesdon seeks to prepare men and women for God's mission in a changing world through the imaginative pursuit of academic excellence, spiritual depth and pastoral engagement within the rhythm of daily life together.
We seek to prepare ordained ministers who are:
disciplined in the life of prayer, competent and creative leaders of worship, and aware of their own needs and motivations;
critical and constructive theologians, who can draw on and interpret the riches of the Christian tradition in the light of contemporary problems and needs;
able to understand the nature and purpose of Christian community and are equipped to be leaders in its renewal in this and future generations;
who are able to interpret the world to the church and the church to the world in order to demonstrate the love of God for all people.
Prayer for the College
Everlasting God, ever adored by the holy angels,
yet choosing men and women to be the stewards of your mysteries;
Bless, we pray, the work of the College,
And prosper the intentions of its founder;
That those, who cannot do any good without you,
may be won to godliness and love,
and illuminated with a true knowledge of your Word and Sacraments;
And so, being made able ministers of your new covenant,
may advance your glory,
and the salvation of your servants;
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
