Music at Ripon College Cuddesdon

Whether an experienced musician or a complete novice, there is an opportunity to join in a wide range of music activities, whatever your ability.  We would like the music at College to be a resource for students' future ministry as well as a significant aspect of our worship together. We try to use music from a variety of traditions.

Choir
The Choir rehearses every Monday evening from 7.15pm until 8.00pm.  Each week an anthem is learned which will be sung at the College Eucharist.  The Choir also rehearses pieces for the Advent Carol Service at the end of the Michaelmas Term as well as other special occasions and services.

Junior Choir
Junior Choir is on Mondays from 4.15pm to 4.45pm and is open to all school aged members of the College community.  It learns songs for All-age worship as well as other pieces for special occasions.

Worship Band
There is usually a worship band which provides music for some of the College Eucharists, All-age services and other special events.

Singing Lessons or instruction
The College's voice tutor, Ruth Lamdin, provides individual singing lessons or instruction on Fridays.
