ABOUT CREATIVE CONVERSATIONS
Creative Conversations seeks to give priority to the voices of those who experience marginalisation, exclusion and deprivation. The project fosters careful and thoughtful listening with the intention that the voices of others will challenge and inform the responses of our own Christian communities. Creative Conversations helps Christian groups explore the everyday experiences of those who find themselves marginalised and excluded in various ways from mainstream society. By introducing basic research methods that can be used in daily life, Creative Conversations aims to introduce new depth to the way we listen to others in our day-to-day encounters.
Creative Conversations was launched in March 2015 and hosted a follow-up day in November to hear from those who had been participating in the Creative Conversations project and learn from their experiences. Following this encouraging start we saw the potential to do further work on developing the conversational approach as a practical, hospitable and sensitive approach to mission and also as a way of researching contexts. Our intention then is to host further Creative Conversation days and to source funding to support conversational research in a variety of situations
