Lecture by Debbie Flood "Living an Olympic Life"

Olympic double silver medallist rower Debbie Flood will speak on Living an Olympic Life at 7.30pm on Thursday, 23 February 2017 in the Harriet Monsell Lecture Theatre at Ripon College Cuddesdon.

Debbie won silver medals in the Quadruple Sculls at both the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. In 2012, she was elected captain of the Leander Club, the first female captain of this prestigious rowing club based at Henley-on-Thames in its 194-year history.

Throughout her career, Debbie's Christian beliefs have underpinned much of what she has achieved in rowing and her working life outside the sport. Debbie said "God has given me these abilities and let me use them, and it's my responsibility to try and inspire others to achieve and act as a role model in schools and churches".

This is the latest in the Fit for Living series of lectures which take place on Thursdays at 7.30pm in the Harriet Monsell Lecture Theatre, Ripon College Cuddesdon.

All welcome, free of charge.
