Ripon College Cuddesdon is conducting a small qualitative research project exploring experiences of marital breakdown during the first phase of initial ministerial education for ordained ministry in the Church of England, i.e. when ordinands are training at a theological education institution. We are looking to commission an experienced qualitative researcher to conduct up to 10 interviews of around 60 minutes with recent ordinands who have experienced separation or divorce during training. Tasks include:
- Devising an interview schedule
- Arranging and conducting up to 10 online interviews (not recruiting participants)
- Transcribing and anonymising interviews
- Debriefing the research team.
The research will begin no later than July and the transcripts should be delivered by December 2023.
Budget: maximum £2250.
