Programme Structure
The Foundation Certificate is a 1 year full-time course for volunteers or paid workers who wish to gain a recognised qualification.
Learning takes place in college for three days a week, Mondays to Wednesdays, for three ten-week terms with the rest of the week spent in your local context. Courses are held at Cuddesdon but can be joined online. You will be expected to do some private study outside of learning sessions.
The Modules
Who is Jesus?: an introduction to theological thinking, through considering perspectives on Jesus.
Children and Youth Mission & Ministry: an introduction to core skills and practice, child/adolescent development, mission and contextual practice.
Theological Reflection: the art of reflective practice for ongoing learning.
Introduction to Christian Doctrine: an overview of the main areas of Christian doctrine and their interrelationships.
Values, Policy and Practice: understanding professional values, policy and methods of practice in CYPF ministry.
Informal education with young people: working with children and young people in groups and individuals for learning and support.

Entry Requirement: 1 A level at grade E or above (or equivalent); please speak to us about alternatives to A levels.
Course Fee: £2,950 pa including meals and accommodation when in College. £7,400 pa for full-time.
