The National Emergency Briefing is the result of leading experts and concerned citizens joining forces to encourage UK decision-makers to step up their response to the escalating climate and nature crisis, starting with an emergency briefing film being broadcast to the nation. Cuddesdon is hosting a local screening of the film followed by a discussion on Tuesday, 22 October from 7-9pm. Facilators for the discussion will be:
Judith Anderson, a member of small team who run Oxfordshire Climate Cafe Listening Circles. She is a retired psychotherapist and longstanding member and former chair of Climate Psychology Alliance. Her co-edited book Being a Therapist in a Time of Climate Breakdown came out in 2024 and her next The Routledge International Handbook of Mental Health and the Climate Crisis will come out in 2027.
Raia Browning has been helping to facilitate climate cafes in Oxford for four years. Before she retired she was an academic, researching and teaching in the field of political theory.
