Cuddesdon is delighted to be sponsoring the second Festival of Preaching taking place at Christ Church, Oxford on 8th - 10th September 2019.
Speakers already confirmed include The Rt Revd Stephen Croft, Bishop of Oxford; former Cuddesdon Principal, The Very Revd Martyn Percy; former Cuddesdon tutors, Dr Paula Gooder and Revd Dr Margaret Whipp; best-selling US author and activist, Brian McLaren; Mark Oakley, Dean of St John’s College, Cambridge; and Rachel Mann, priest, poet, liturgist, music critic and author.
A programme of talks, seminars and workshops will aim to inspire, nurture and celebrate all who are called to proclaim the Gospel today.
Sessions already confirmed include:
· Worship that destroys (and saves) the world
· All-age preaching
· Preaching the parables
· Dangers in the pulpit
· Sermons seldom held
