Graduate and Post-Graduate Diplomas

The Graduate Diploma 

For students with a degree in another subject or who have a Higher Education Diploma in a theological subject, this programme enables you to acquire competence in theology, ministry and mission.

Modules include: Doctrine in Context, Theology, Ritual and Pastoral Care, Further Biblical Studies, Missional Theology in Global Context, Developing Preaching, Developing Theological Reflection; and Introduction to Ethics.

Assessment is by coursework such as long essays, class presentations, theological reflection pieces and a variety of other written work tailored to assess the topic.

Post-Graduate Diploma

This programme builds on the Graduate Diploma or other theology degrees, developing the skills and ideas required for post-graduate level research and reflective practice. This can also be developed into an Master of Arts (MA) at a later stage by registering with any College or Course within the Common Awards scheme and simply completing a 60 credit dissertation. 

Modules include: Research and Reflection: Resources and Methods, Advanced Topic Sacraments, Reflective Practice Placement, Optional Doctrine modules in Figures, Texts, or Topics, Ecclesiology; Leadership and Theology, Education and the Learning Church.
