It was important to me to experience residential training but due to my circumstances at home, full time residential training was not an option. Developing a structured prayer life, alongside serious theological study was high on my list of priorities.
Spending three days a week at college and three days at my training church near my home is offering me a full spectrum of experience and study, that I believe is key to a future in effective ministry and mission. It really feels that this pathway is the future of theological training for people who cannot, for whatever reason, live here fulltime.
Any fears that I would not feel part of the community have subsided as I’ve grown used to my pattern of training and I now feel like I’m experiencing the best of both worlds. This sense of belonging is an important part of Cuddesdon's care for its students. I am so thankful to be part of this forward-thinking training strategy that puts the future of ministry at its heart.
